Community Eye Care Initiative

As part of its unwavering commitment to social responsibility and community welfare, Nirmal Krida and Samaj Prabodhan Trust has been conducting a large-scale Community Eye Care Initiative for the past four years. This flagship healthcare program aims to eliminate avoidable blindness by providing free eye screening, diagnosis, and cataract surgeries to the people of rural communities.

Through this initiative, the Trust has organized free eye screening camps across nearly every village in Badnapur Taluka, making quality eye care accessible to those who need it most. To date, more than 2,00,000 individuals have undergone free eye examinations, demonstrating the Trust’s dedication to improving the health and well-being of the rural population.

Among the beneficiaries, over 30,000 cataract surgeries have been successfully performed completely free of cost, restoring vision and transforming the lives of thousands of individuals. All eye examinations, consultations, and cataract surgeries are provided without any financial burden on the beneficiaries, reflecting the Trust’s mission of serving humanity with compassion and dedication.

This remarkable initiative is inspired by the vision of our President, Dr. Devesh Pathrikar, who firmly believes that quality healthcare should be accessible to every individual, regardless of their economic background. Guided by his leadership and unwavering commitment to social service, the Trust continues this mission with the goal of reaching every resident of Badnapur Taluka, ensuring that no person is deprived of proper eye care and working tirelessly towards making the region free from avoidable cataract blindness.
